To where can I travel on my travel insurance?

We offer policies with either Europe or Worldwide cover and the documents you receive will tell you what we mean by that. Our European policies often extend to other areas too, for example African countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea may be included without additional charge.

Worldwide really does mean precisely what it says. You can travel to any country in the world. Your policy may specifically say “including USA, Canada and the Caribbean” we only do this because we know customers are concerned that these destinations have such high medical costs and therefore specific reference allays any doubt.

One final note of caution though, we do’t cover travel to destinations to which the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office advise against travel. If the FCDO think a place is too dangerous to allow people to travel to then insurers won’t cover it. You can check the position on your destination by visiting https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice a site to which there are numerous links on this site.
